How do life insurance companies get rated? |
It is an important factor in choosing an insurance carrier for prospective insurance clients; the financial strength or viability of their insurance company. One of the first to publish national ratings is the one we use, A.M. Best Company. Best's Financial Strength Rating is an independent opinion of an insurer's financial strength and ability to meet its ongoing insurance policy and contract obligations. It is based on a comprehensive evaluation of a company's balance sheet strength, operating performance and business profile. The highest rating assigned is “A++”, considered to be the pinnacle of “Superior” companies. We only provide quotes from companies rated “A” and above to insure that our clients choose from only the best carriers on the market. The A.M. Best ratings are listed on our site with a direct link to them so you can look up the ratings yourself before buying.
